Promoting Your Business with Dog Tags and Personalized Pendants

Promoters across the country spend millions of dollars every year trying to promote their clients. Brand image is the key to every successful company, whether it’s for a large Fortune 100 company, a small mom and pop shop, an artist, or a sports team.

Every day promoters brainstorm for innovative and creative ways to promote their clients. Commercials and ad space cost great amounts of money. Currently, an old way of promoting is taking a new approach- Word of Mouth Marketing. Many promoters and PR firms are now relying on this method of promotions. However, they are being very aggressive trying to push an awareness about their product and their client. Companies and artists are relying on their biggest fans to pass the word about their product.

One way the hip hop community started doing this was promoting their artists with dog tags. These tags are made by powerful photo impact printers, also known as engravers are high in quality. They can display the name of the company, the picture of the product, artist, or the show. The dog tags are a fashion item, but it is now becoming a marketing tool for many industries. The dog tags can be made plain or with rhinestones around it. It comes in different shapes and sizes. The images last a lifetime, and help push product sales.

Promoters and PR professionals now can easily promote their products and clients. All you need to do is purchase a photo impact printer. They utilize amazing RPMS technology to take advantage of halftone, line art, and text printing on metal and acrylic surfaces. The printers come with software, which is so easy to use that even someone who has no design nor art background can get a beautiful first image the first time. This machine will allow businesses to print trendy styles as well as elegant images. It takes about 3-6 minutes to print one pendant.

Once you have your engraver, you can start ordering your inventory. You need to find a good wholesaler who will give you honest prices, and fast shipping of your inventory. For promoting purposes you can use dog tags, key chains, and pendants to engrave on.

The average cost for a 29X50 (a popular size) pendant, with a hook, and a chain is about $1.00. The retail value of that item is around $25.00. If you are promoting a well known artist most people will of course pay for the dog tag. But if you are promoting a new artist, or company, or event, you will have to give away the personalized items for free. But your cost on these items are going to be $1-$2 the most. Sell these engraved pendants at malls, concerts, schools, etc. Or give them away as a part of your promotional campaign.

Here are the essentials you will need to start promoting your business.

- A photo impact printer/engraver (MPX-60 made by Roland is your best bet)
- Inventory of dog tags, pendants, jewelry you want to personalize
- Scanner (to scan in images)
- Laptop

If you have been thinking of a low cost effective way of promoting, then personalized pendants is your answer.

Choosing Dog Tags for Your Canine

Remember when you first met your dog? He was fresh and new, and you were just getting to know each other. You went through training together, perhaps even ate together. With time, you and your dog became very close - even closer than you are to a lot of people you know. Your dog is special to you. He might be your best friend, a rascally mischief-maker, or just an accessory to your lifestyle. He depends on you for feeding, play, and discipline. You depend on him for companionship, a connection with the animal world, or household security and protection. For these reasons and more, you should protect your dog from harm, and yourself from loss, by getting him a dog tag.

Dog tags hang on your dog’s collar and provide all the necessary information for calling your dog, contacting you as the owner, and alerting people to your dog’s dietary restrictions. Some dog tags also include vaccination information, such as when your dog last received shots, and some municipalities even require this.

Once you’ve settled on what information to put on your dog’s tag, it’s time to pick out a tag that suits your style and needs. If you’re just looking to tag your dog with basic information, a plain plastic tag will do. But if you want to add a personal touch, consider getting your dog a silver, jewel, gold, or diamond dog tag. Yes, they do exist. You can even have your dog tag customized and shaped exactly the way you want. Some dog tag manufacturers can even laser-etch a photograph onto the tag - perhaps a picture of you and your beloved pet.

Dog tags can range in price from free or just a few dollars, to diamond dog tags in excess of $7,500. Whatever your taste, there is a dog tag for your furry friend.

Dog-E-Tags Digital Dog Tags

Dog-E-tag is a durable programmable pet tag that holds a HUGE amount of information about your pet. We were first attracted to the product by its versatility. Due to the amount of information we could enter into a single tag, it eliminated the need for multiple tags clanking together noisily on each of our dogs. Besides being able to enter our pets names, address, phone numbers, license numbers, etc., we were also able to put in notes for our elder dogs such as “My name is Mia, I require medication,” and “I can’t hear and am afraid of sudden movements.” This gave us comfort knowing that, if they were ever lost, whoever might find one of our pets could better understand and meet their needs until we could pick them up. We also programmed a note saying there would be a reward if the pet was found, making it more likely for someone to return them to us.

Additionally, we like the fact that it is a simple matter to program new information into the tag at any time. This eliminates the need for us to buy new tags every time we have a change in any of the contact information or in one of the dogs’ medical needs. The information is viewable by pushing a button, and the battery life is rated for 2 years, though ours haven’t run out yet.

The tag itself is a little more than an inch across and very lightweight, so it is just as comfortable for our
little dogs to wear as for the large ones. They also come in several great colors, and are definitely durable! Our youngest dog, a Boxer, is extremely active and pretty rough on anything she wears. Dog-E-tag has survived rolling, scratching, being caked with mud, and rain torrents (she loves water!) without a problem. We even rinse the tag off when it gets looking too grungy.

All in all, these tags are one of the best dog products we’ve encountered in a long time, and definitely worth
every penny of their purchase price.
